Vice President Nick Heisner

Vice President Nick Heisner narrowly defeated Republican incumbent Matthew Antencio in the 2020 Senate race. Heisner was chair of the National Democratic Senatorial Committee from 2017 to 2019. After the 2018 midterm elections, he and University of Colorado Regent, Conan Gray became the only Democrats to hold statewide elected office in Colorado. Heisner announced in 2019 he would run for re-election for a second term, and won. 

After leaving the Senate, Heisner has remained active in politics and policy. He sits on the board of economic and foreign policy, and advisor to the Department of Transportation.
